Here at Columbia Gorge Stoneworks we are very proud of
the quality of our switchplates. With this page we are trying to show
some of the finer details of our work. For a closer look click on each
photo for a larger photo. If you are comparing our work
with that of others who make stone switchplates pay particular attention to
how well they fit the switches or receptacles, that they are pocketed out on
the backside, and chipping around the edges
of the cutouts. We do all of this work on a computer controlled
machine for
unmatched quality and fit.
These are some interesting stones
to work with. From left to right is Honey Onyx, Giallo Veneziano, and
Baltic Brown.
This is a Lapidus Gold granite switch cover.
Here we are trying to show what the radiused edges look like.
This photo shows how detailed our work is on the backside.
This is as important as the front side to make sure they fit correctly
once installed.
