We don't have an order form because there are so many details when ordering stone switchplates.  If you call or email us with a list of the switchplates that you would like, what stone you have, such as granite, marble, Silestone, etc.,  if it is slab or tile, and if you are providing the stone or you would like to use one that we stock, we will then email you a quote.  We prefer to use customer supplied material for the best match.

All stones, except granite and quartz surfaces, such as marble, travertine, slate, limestone, most onyx, etc. with a thickness up to 1/2".  If your material is thicker add $5 per switchplate.

We ship US Priority Insured Mail.  Delivery is typically made within 2-4 business days.  Shipping charges are based on the total dollar amount of your order:

The switchplate styles we make are Toggle or (T), Decora or (D), Duplex or (R), phone jack, cable jack, and blank plates. Phone and cable plates have up to two phone and three cable jacks per gang and may be mixed.  A diagram is shown below to help identify common switchplate styles.  We are not limited to the configurations that are shown.  We are able to make any switchplate configuration, up to a 6-gang switchplate.

The switchplates below are 1- gang to 6-gang from left to right.

 Since switchplates are symmetrical top to bottom they can be flipped.  If you needed a decora on the left and a toggle on the right you could simply flip the TD switchplate. 

• We require payment in full prior to starting switchplate orders.  We accept checks, credit card payments by phone and payments through PayPal.

• Our lead time is typically 2-4 weeks from the time we receive your stone and/or payment in full.  When working with Honey Onyx, our lead time may increase up to six weeks.
• The above prices are for customer supplied stone or that which we stock.
• Color coordinated mounting screws are provided with all standard switchplates.  The screw length is 1/2" for all switchplates. Phone, cable, and blank plates, are shipped with 1" screws.
•  All natural stone should be sealed.  We use DryTreat Stain-Proof, which does not change the look of the stone.
• We use penetrating epoxy to strengthen switchplates as necessary.  The epoxy is applied to the back side only and does not show once the switchplate is installed.
• We polish the radiused edges to match the natural finish of the stone, whether it is tumbled, honed, or polished.  We do not dip them in anything or alter the natural look in any way.
• Stone switchplates are made to fit most fixtures with metal mounting tabs.
• All switchplates are made to order and cannot be returned.  Due to the characteristics of stone, we cannot guarantee our switchplates from breakage.

Our switchplates are all made to the American Standard sizes:

1- Gang:  4-1/2" x 2-3/4"

2- Gang:  4-1/2" x 4-9/16"

3- Gang:  4-1/2" x 6-3/8"

4- Gang:  4-1/2" x 8-3/16"

5- Gang:  4-1/2" x 10"

6- Gang:  4-1/2" x 11-13/16"

All are exactly 1/4" thick.

At this time we are unable to make oversized switchplates.

  The minimum size of material needed for any of the plates is as follows:

1- Gang: 4-3/4" x 3"

2- Gang: 4-3/4" x 4-7/8"

3- Gang: 4-3/4" x 6-5/8"

4- Gang: 4-3/4" x 8-1/2"

5- Gang: 4-3/4" x 10-1/4"

6 -Gang: 4-3/4" x 12"

The material needs to be just over 1/4" thick and preferably under 1/2",  maximum thickness is 3".

Please double the amount of stone that we will need for your order.  We can't make a stone switch plate out of every piece of stone that we get and do have some breakage so we usually need extra.

We are always happy to use any scraps you may have to make your switchplates.  Just check the size of the stone for the switchplate you need to make sure your stone pieces are big enough and check for scratches on the polished surfaces.  We can't polish out scratches but can try to cut them out when making your switchplates.

If there is direction in your stone, please mark which side of the tile should be the top of the switchplates.  If you wish to mark your stone as to where you would like your switchplates to be made from please do so on the back.  If you wish to mark the finished surface, please use a tape that is easily removed and does not leave a sticky residue, such as 3M Blue Painter's tape.  Make sure that we can make straight cuts through the tile or slab.

If you are preparing to ship stone for an order please leave the stone in the largest sizes that are easily shipped.  We would rather cut the pieces we need out of a large piece of stone than have them cut up for us. The best way to ship tiles is in a box of peanuts with peanuts between the tiles, pack it as tight as possible with extra peanuts so there is no movement.  For slab wrap it in bubble wrap before putting it in a box of peanuts.  We recycle or reuse all newspaper, cardboard, plastic, bubble wrap, and peanuts.
